What is r-PET?

r-PET (recycled PET) is PET plastic that has been melted down and used again. Pure Arctic bottles are made from 95 percent recycled material. The rest is new PET, needed to give the bottle enough strength and clarity.

r-PET reduces the need for new oil-based plastic production. Every bottle you order helps keep plastic in circulation rather than in nature.

Recycling after use

Pure Arctic bottles enter the standard deposit-return stream in Norway and Sweden. After return, the bottle is melted down and becomes new r-PET packaging. The loop is closed.

Pure Arctic is still expanding its sustainability reporting in 2026. Get in touch if you need detailed figures for your own sustainability accounts.
